West Coast Exclusive Spring 2003 Show Set to Open
The Spring 2003 installment of the West Coast Exclusive, a boutique show of upscale menswear, opens Aug. 4 at the W Hotel in Los Angeles, running through Aug. 6.
Attendance at the show is expected to exceed that seen at the last edition, according to Larry Hymes, one of the founders of the 4-year-old biannual trade show.
“We expect about 150 buyers this year, and last year, we had 130,” he said. “These are buyers mostly from the western part of the country, from the upper moderate to better menswear stores.”
Events at the show include luncheons hosted by Dulce de Leche and Forte Cashmere and an opening night cocktail reception hosted by Michael Jordan’s Two-3. The show will host breakfast and a hospitality suite each day and a martini lounge on the second day.
Exhibitors include Axis Menswear, Cole Hahn, DKNY, Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss Sportswear, Michael Jordan’s Two-3, Forte Cashmere, Joseph Abboud, Bugatchi Uomo, Rain Forest, Jhane Barnes and Robert Comstock.
The West Coast Exclusive is also planning its second Las Vegas showing Aug. 25–27 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. That show, which runs concurrently with MAGIC International, will include evening activities hosted by Mario Valente, MR magazine, Echo Lake Industries and Hatfield’s.
