L.A. Fashion Week Fall 2002: Lotta
Celebrities including Apollonia, Christina Aguilera and Brooke Shields were among the fashion fans and customers gathered at Moomba on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles on April 10 to catch a glimpse of Lotta’s contemporary sportswear and couture offerings for Fall 2002.
The collection’s latest offerings, which designer Lotta Stensson calls “Gypsy Goddess in the Fairy Forest,” are rich with hippie-chic looks made up of loose-fitting silhouettes decorated with beaded scarves and fringes. It was avant-garde and organic, especially the silk bohemian blouses with fringes and torn distressed wool ponchos (think Stevie Nicks styles reworked for the cast of the WB’s “Charmed”).
“This is my favorite collection ever,” exclaimed Stensson, who made her way through the crowd just in time to see her collection on the runway. —Claudia Figueroa
