Ritual Plans RE:MIX Launch Party

Los Angeles-based marketing firm Ritual Events/AUTHNTIK will host a launch party on April 25 to announce plans for a new music and fashion lifestyle conference called the RE:MIX Expo to be held in November.

The conference, which will be sponsored by Sportswear International and HITS magazines, is the brainchild of Ritual founders Jed Wexler and Patrick Courielche and fashion marketer and author Lynne Franks.

RE:MIX will feature panel discussions, music performances and speakers from the fashion, music and creative industries.

“It’s basically bridging the gap between creative cutting-edge service providers—whether it be fashion designers, street artists, graphic design houses, [progressive] filmmakers—and the creative service buyers, [including] corporations, ad agencies, retailers and marketing directors, and the public to gauge their feedback on the products,” said Wexler.

Franks, the creator of London Fashion Week, will handle the global press and is consulting on the fashion portion of the conference, said Wexler.

The launch party will feature deejays Billy Good Times, Danny Love and PACE. Op Classics, a sponsor of the event, will be featured in a DVD piece, which is part of a monthly DVD series Ritual/AUTHNTIK is producing that will showcase what’s new in “independent-minded” fashion, music and art culture—what Wexler dubs “metro lifestyle.”

The party will be held at Temple in Los Angeles from 9 p.m. to midnight. For more information, call (213) 387-9363 or e-mail media@ritualevents.com.
