Yokogawa Screens L.A. Fashion Week Film
California Apparel News fashion editor Joselle Yokogawa will debut her fashion film “Drive: A Documentary on Fashion in L.A.” on Oct. 25 at the Palace Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
The film, shot during the Spring and Fall 2001 seasons, features fashion show footage and interviews with Michelle Mason, Freddi Rojas of Rojas, Alicia Lawhon, Frank Ford of Loy and Ford, and Magda Berliner.
“I love this fashion industry,” said Yokogawa. “I love the designers here. I love the fact that they use this city as a backdrop to express themselves because I think this city is just so cool.”
Yokogawa said the film’s title refers to local designers’ drive to create a cohesive, internationally recognized fashion week. The title also is a tongue-in-cheek reference to Angelenos’ love affair with their cars.
The screening begins at 8 p.m. To attend, call (323) 692-8362.
