Vernon, Ind.-based Dan’s Competition, a direct marketer for the BMX bike equipment and apparel market, for $11 million and 2.1 million shares of Alloy stock; Alloy executives said they anticipate that the deal, which strengthens Alloy’s position in the young men’s market, will bring an additional $10 million to $15 million in revenue over the next year...New York-based publisher Conde Nast announced plans to cease publication of Mademoiselle magazine in November, citing economic conditions; subscribers will receive sister publication Glamour after November.
