What is the priciest retail area in the world? New York’s East 57th Street, according to Cushman & Wakefield’s list of the most expensive shopping streets. The two-block strip between Park and Fifth Avenue is home to retailers including Prada, Burberry and Chanel and commands rents of $700 per square foot. Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay took second place on the list with rents around $525 per square foot and Paris’ Avenue des Champs Elyseeacute;s, with $494-per-square-foot rents, came in third.
