Wholesale Prices Fell 1.6 Percent in October
Wholesale prices fell 1.6 percent in October, according to the Labor Department. The producer price index fell to 139.1 last month, leading analysts to point to a deepening economic malaise hastened by the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
