Los Angeles Fashion Week Spring 2002: Tree
Tree delivered a sophisticated and stunning Spring/Summer 2002 collection at Audi Presents Designer Collections of Los Angeles Fashion Week. It featured a palette of black and white—bringing home the Edwardian styles created by design duo Beverly Klein and Theresa McAllen.
“It’s a modern-day collection that combines vintage styles with modern perspective,” said McAllen, who just a few moments before the show rushed to put the finishing touches on models backstage.
Corsets, peasant tops and embroidered skirts were a few prominent pieces featured on the fashion runway. Highlights included the bottle-green batwing dress with ruched corset; chocolate tie-back peasant top with draped skirt; a denim jacket worn with tucked-sleeve tulle shell and cotton bobbin net drape skirt; and black batiste governess top with embroidered skirt. Celebrities Melissa Rivers, Kelly Lynch, Jasmine Guy and Suzanne Somers were among the attendees at the show. —Claudia Figueroa
