St. John Looks to the Future
Irvine, Calif.-based St. John Knits International is looking ahead these days. The now privately owned company has hired Neiman Marcus veteran H.W. Mullins as chief executive officer, succeeding Bob Gray, who will continue as chairman of the company he founded with his wife, Marie Gray. Mullins’ most recent position at Neiman Marcus was as chair and chief executive officer, a position he assumed in 2000 after nine years with the retailer. His resume also includes stints at Macy’s in San Francisco and Foley’s in Houston. Mullins recently took time out to speak with California Apparel News about St. John’s plans for the future.
