Material World Plans Education Slate
Material World Miami Beach, the textile trade show organized by Atlanta-based Urban Expositions, has finalized its education program for the September 10–12 run of the show at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Fla.
The program will include a series of seminars organized by the Philadelphia University’s School of Textiles and Material Technology on topics such as worldwide trade initiatives; sourcing in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean; and computer-aided design (CAD) for textile and worldwide competition. The Philadelphia University courses have an enrollment fee of $75 per course or $200 for three courses and $65 for each additional course after the initial three. Onsite enrollment in these courses is $85. More information is available on the Philadelphia University Web site at www.PhilaU.edu/materialworld.
The trade show will also offer free trend seminars sponsored by Cotton Incorporated and the International Color Authority.
Material World launched last year in Miami Beach as a sourcing show for textiles, trim and related products for designers, purchasing agents, and executives in manufacturing and retailing.
