Italian manufacturer and retailer Benetton has agreed to write an apology and contribute to a victims’ fund as part of a settlement reached with the state of Missouri; the settlement stemmed from an advertisement the clothing maker ran featuring death row inmates; the suit contended that Benetton misrepresented its intent in order to gain access to the prison and interview inmates.
