Dorlastan Unveils L.A. Area Office, New Ad Campaign
The fibers group of Charleston, S.C.-based Bayer Corporation’s fibers, additives and rubber division has opened a West Coast office in Brea, Calif., under the direction of marketing manager Mary Meadows.
The new office and sales team will be targeting Bayer’s existing customers of the company’s Dorlastan spandex, as well as seeking new customers for the fiber, according to the company.
Meadows has been with the Dorlastan division for more than two years and relocated to California to open the new office. Sales agents Ron Comer and Irma Malinofsky, of CM Marketing and Sales Company Inc., will continue to represent the fiber. The two have been repping Dorlastan since 1995. The West Coast office can be reached at (888) 211-1805. CM Marketing and Sales Company Inc. can be reached at (213) 622-3493.
Bayer also recently unveiled its latest trade ad campaign, which features black and white images to highlight the uses of Dorlastan fibers in women’s and men’s apparel, hosiery, intimate apparel and active sportswear. The global campaign, which had an initial fall run in Europe, began running in the U.S. this month.—Alison A. Nieder
