Ace Ross Studios to Rep Oboe, Seraph
Ace Ross signed an agreement on New Year’s Eve to be the exclusive sales representative for junior contemporary lines Oboe and Seraph, according to Ross, who recently founded Ace Ross Studios after leaving Los Angeles-based junior manufacturer One Clothing, where he served as the company’s president. Ross currently has a lawsuit pending against his former employer for breech of contract and fraud.
Ross has also hired a designer, Angela, to oversee creation of the Ace Ross Studio junior fashion line (the designer’s agreement with the company prohibits the use of her last name, according to Ross). The company has also partnered with two local vertical manufacturers to launch a junior basics line and a sleepwear and intimates line, Ross said.
Los Angeles-based American Apparel will produce the 1 x 1 and baby rib basics for Ace Ross Studios. Ross declined to name the producer of the sleepwear and intimates line.
The basics and sleepwear lines will debut at the International Fashion Boutique Show (Jan. 6–9) in New York, according to Ross. —Alison A. Nieder
