Organization Honors Apparel Industry Humanitarians
More than 300 members of the apparel industry gathered June 30 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. to pay tribute to Rob Greenspan of Moss Adams LLP and Jacque Hall of Macy’s West for their time and energy devoted to the world of charity, while raising more than $300,000 for the Denver, Colo.-based National Jewish Medical and Research Center.
Hall, Macy’s West’s senior vice president and general merchandising manager of Ready-to-Wear, and Greenspan, managing partner of the Los Angeles office of Moss Adams LLP, both received the Apparel Industry Humanitarian Award given by the medical center.
Hall, who served as vice president of special-size sportswear, dresses, suits and coats at Federated Merchandising Group before joining Macy’s West, has been actively involved with various Macy’s West charitable campaigns, including the United Way and Macy’s annual event fundraiser for HIV/AIDS called Passport.
“It’s a pleasure to work in an industry that is so aware of and empathetic [to] the needs of the community,” said Hall.
Greenspan is a 22-year veteran with Moss Adams. His philanthropic activities include serving on various committees of the City of Hope’s Professions and Finance Group, as well as co-chairing the Executive Dinner Committee for the medical center in the past.
“Rob, who’s my accountant, has been through thick and thin for me,” said Eletra Casadei, a Los Angeles-based women’s contemporary sportswear designer. “It’s so great that they’re honoring him.”
Under the crystal chandeliers in the International Ballroom, guests dined on chateaubriand and baked Alaska before the awards ceremony began while listening to the tunes of the five-piece band Mid-Life Crisis.
