Cal Mart Brings Muralist Man One to Market
Buyers, tenants and visitors to the California Mart on the opening day of Holiday/Resort market week will have a chance to catch Los Angeles-based graffiti artist Man One in action creating large-scale spray-can art in the building’s lobby.
The Aug. 10 performance will include the creation of three 5-by-7-foot murals, a video presentation and live d.j. The opening-day festivities will conclude with a market cocktail reception on the lobby patio from 6 to 8 p.m. During the party, the artist will give a lesson in mural painting when executives from contemporary label Two Girls & A Guy, Michael and Kimberly Magarro and Cheryl Vance, try their hand at aerosol art.
