Woodbury Fashion Show Celebrates 1940s Pin-up Girls
Burbank, Calif.-based Woodbury University will host its fashion show on May 4 at the Los Angeles Entertainment Center. Christina Kim of Los Angeles label Dosa will be honored at the event and special guests include actress Jane Russell and Woodbury alumni and Cosmopolitan magazine founder Helen Gurley Brown.
This year, students were asked to mix 1940s glamour with modern fabrics to illustrate this year’s fashion show theme, “All Pinned Up,” a tribute to 1940s pin-up girls. Fashion judges will be on hand on April 12 at the California Mart to choose the garments to be presented at the May 4 gala.
