Central City Honors Fred Segal
The Central City Association will honor retailer Fred Segal at its seventh annual Treasures of Los Angeles awards luncheon at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on April 26.
The award ceremony is about “celebrating the diversity, strength and excellence in Los Angeles,” said the association’s director of business development, Laurie Goldman, “as well as those who have made outstanding contributions in a variety of fields and who have made Los Angeles an extraordinary place to live, work and play.”
Additionally, the association will acknowledge special achievements by Frank Gehry, who will receive a Heart of the City award, and Mayor Richard Riordan, who will receive a City of Angels award. Other award recipients include Dodgers MVP Maury Wills and author Ray Bradbury. The awards ceremony will include a musical performance from the award-winning musical “The Lion King.” The event will begin at 11 a.m.; tickets are available for $200.
