Kinston, N.C.-based Hampton Industries Inc. and New York-based Nautica Enterprises Inc. announced the termination of Hampton’s license to market Nautica children’s apparel; Nautica will purchase inventory and other assets related to Nautica business, according to the agreement...Radicispandex Corp., the U.S. subsidiary of Italy-based Radici Group, has purchased the spandex manufacturing facilities of Fall River, Mass.-based Globe Manufacturing; the company’s new headquarters will be based in Fall River...Wilmington, Del.-based fiber and chemical company DuPont announced the layoff of 5,300 workers, including 1,300 contract workers; most of the eliminated jobs will be in the company’s polyester and nylon operations, as well as some layoffs or reassignments in the company’s Lycra business; the company maintains it has no plans to close any of its plants.
