L.A. Fashion Week Fall '10: Lauren Elaine Black Label Collection
There was no full moon in the sky the night of March 22. Yet for designer Lauren Elaine, her Fall 2010 collection runway show at West Hollywood, Calif.’s Key Club was a chance to explore the wild side of her line’s dresses. It’s an interesting move for Lauren Elaine Black Label Collection, which made a debut in 2009 with the mission to bring back the “princess” look for current times.
For wild, the Los Angeles designer and a model walked a wolf-like Siberian husky at the end of the 24-look show, which included a metallic brocade, leopard-print dress. Other dresses included classic 1950s silhouettes; empire-waist styles; and one of the most classic dress shapes of them all, the Grecian-style gown.—Andrew Asch
